Add New Question

  • Question

Is there a microphone attached to iPhone headphones?

    Community Answer

Yes, there is a microphone built into the headphones that come with an iPhone.

  • Question

When I plug my earphones in, all I hear is a buzzing noise. How do I stop it?

    Community Answer

If there is music "playing" but you can't hear it, your headphones are broken. Were they exposed to water, excessive heat or somehow damaged in the recent past?

  • Question

Is there an on/off button for each bud?

    Community Answer

Not unless this was sold as a special feature for your headphones but that would make them a third party set.

  • Question

I cannot hear anything in the earpiece. What can I do?

    Community Answer

Go to "settings," then go to "general," "accessibility," "hearing." Scroll down and you will see a line with two letters on either side. Make sure the ball is in the middle of the lines.

  • Question

I have my headphones plugged in but there is no noise. What should I do?

    Community Answer

They are probably broken. Try to remember if any water got into them or if the cord broke. Your sound might also be off; make sure it is turned on.

  • Question

What should I do if the function button does not work?

    Community Answer

Your headphones could have been broken or damaged by water or heat. Take them to the closest Apple Store and ask the employees to test your headphones for you.

  • Question

There is no hole on my iPhone 7 for the earbuds, what do I do?

    Community Answer

You have to use a dongle to connect the buds with the phone or get the newest air pods.

  • Question

What if sound is only coming out of one earpiece?

    Community Answer

If you recently bought iPhone headphones and they only work out of one earpiece, go back to the store you bought them and tell them the issue. Most shippings to stores are well protected, so they should offer you a replacement set. If you've had the earphones a long time, they're probably broken from physical damage and you'll have to buy new ones.

  • Question

What is the cause of the sound coming through the speakers and not the headphones?

    Community Answer

One, you may not have allowed them to access the phone (setting -> general-> accessabilty->hearing. Scroll to the bar with the letter on each side and make sure the ball is in the middle). Two, the headphones could be damaged. Three, the headphones might not be plugged in all the way. Four, it could just be a random malfunction that resolves itself when you restart the phone.

  • Question

Where do the earbuds hook into the iPhone?

    Community Answer

As seen in the pictures, they are plugged in on the bottom left of the iPhone. There is a hole there to plug in your headphones.
